<p>A deicer comprises a mixture of a deicing agent, a pre-wetting agent, and a leaching inhibitor. The leaching inhibitor results in decreased liquid migration within and out of a mass of pre-wetted deicer. The deicer can include a deicing salt such as sodium chloride, a pre-wetting agent comprised of magnesium chloride, and a leaching inhibitor such as xanthan gum. The deicer can also include a corrosion inhibitor and/or radiation absorber.</p> |
