A green phosphor for a plasma display panel is provided to reduce short decay time and brightness reduction and to be used in a plasma display panel. A green phosphor for a plasma display panel comprises a first phosphor represented by chemical formula 1: (Y3-xCex)aAlbOc and a second phosphor selected from the group consisting of (Y_(3-x)Ce_x)_aAl_bO_c; Zn_2SiO_4:Mn; YBO_3:Tb Y_(1-x1)Gd_(x1)Al_3(BO_3)_4:Tb (x1 is 0-1); Li_2Zn(Ge,theta)_zO_8:Mn (theta is Al or Ga and z is 3-4); BaMgAl_10O_17:Mn; BaMgAl_12O_19:Mn; Zn(Ga_(1-x2)Al_x2)_2O_4:Mn(x2 is 0.2-0.8); and combinations thereof.
