A ceiling type air conditioner is provided to improve convenience as the cleaning and the replacement of a filter are not necessary and collect foreign materials filtered in the filter with the movement of a dust collecting part effectively. A ceiling type air conditioner comprises a case, a base panel, a filter, a dust collecting part, a suction unit(800), and a foreign material collecting unit. The case is arranged in a ceiling. The base panel is coupled in the case. The base panel has an air inlet port on one side. The filter is arranged in the air inlet port. The dust collecting part collects the foreign material filtered in the filter. The suction unit sucks the foreign material collected in the dust collecting part. The foreign material collecting unit collects the foreign material discharged from the suction unit. The suction unit and the foreign material collecting unit are connected through the communicating pipe. The relative ratio of length to the inner diameter of the communicating pipe is 0.500~2.143. |
