ALPHA 1,3-GALACTOSYLTRANSFERASE GENE TARGETING VECTOR

An alpha 1,3-galactosyltransferase gene targeting vector is provided to immediately determine targeting through screening method by X-gal treatment. An alpha 1,3-galactosyltransferase gene targeting vector sequencially comprises: a first area which is homologous nucleic acid to alpha 1,3-galactosyltransferase nucleic acid sequences of pig and contains a part of intron 8 of alpha 1,3-galactosyltransferase gene; an internal ribosome initiation site; LacZ gene region; positive selection marker domain; and a second area which is homologous nucleic acid sequence to 1,3-galactosyltransferase nucleic acid sequence of pig and contains a part of axon 9 of 1,3-galactosyltransferase gene. The pig is a miniature pig. The positive selection marker is selected among neomycin(Neo), hygromycin(Hyg), histidinol dehydrogenase gene(hisD), and guanine phosphosribosyltransferase(Gpt). The vector additionally comprises a negative selection marker. The vector is pGTKOLacZneoTK.
