The method involves bending a raw material (6) i.e. one-piece rolling stock, by attaching a bent section (8) that runs along a rolling direction. The raw material is transformed into width direction of the raw material by section-wise thickness reduction of the raw material. The transformation of the raw material is performed after bending of the raw material or both bending and transformation of the raw material takes place at same time. The raw material is bent gradually from one roller to another roller (36).
