A notification method, a management apparatus, and a client apparatus are provided to improve user convenience by notifying client device the state change of image processing apparatus by update information. The state information of the device is obtained(S1004). The state change occurred in the monitoring object device is detected based on the obtained device state information as described above(S1005). If the state change takes place, it is determined whether the device has the RSS(Really Simple Syndication) data generation function(S1006). In case device has the RSS data producing function, the device produces RSS data(S1008). The URL(Uniform Resource Locator) of the RSS feed expressing RSS data is preserved in DB of the management device(S1009). |
