A latex particle for use in ink-jet inks can comprise a latex polymer core and a latex polymer shell such that the latex polymer shell has a Tg that is at least 10° C. greater than the Tg of the latex polymer core. The latex polymer core can comprise at least one polymerized core monomer. The latex polymer shell can comprise at least two polymerized shell monomers including a urethane acrylate monomer.
