An accessory for a portable electronic device is provided to connect various accessories for a portable electronic device without size and design by enabling a coupling ring not to be tied with a portable electronic device. A housing(221) includes an opening unit(221a), and a coupling ring(223) is coupled to an accessory connector. A supporting plate(222) fixes the end of the coupling ring by being installed inside the housing. An elastic member(225) applies an elastic force to the supporting plate between the opening unit and the supporting plate. A hook(224) is fixed to the supporting plate. The hook opens and closes the opening unit and attaches and detaches the other end of the coupling ring through as the result of the elastic force of the supporting plate and the tension between the coupling ring and the housing.
