A pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating for bone lengthening disorder which contains an Astragalus membrancens Bunge extract is provided to promote bone lengthening or its ethylacetate fraction. A pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating for bone lengthening disorder comprises an Astragalus membrancens Bunge extract, ethylacetate fraction isolated from the extract, and pharmaceutically allowable carrier. The Astragalus membrancens Bunge extract is isolated with water, alcohol or its mixture solvent. The alcohol is C1-C4 low alcohol. The mixture solvent has 70% of alcohol. The bone lengthening disorder is dwarfism, microsomia or height growth degradation.
