<p>An exhaust device and an exhaust method are provided to minimize power consumption and noise by varying operation speed of the exhaust fan and efficiently operating an exhaust fan according to the sucked smell and the concentration of gas. An exhaust device(100) comprises one or more hoods(110,120), a sensor unit(118,128), a duct, a memory, and a controller. One or more hoods sucks smell and gas with the operation of the exhaust fan. The sensor unit detects the concentration of the gas and the smell sucked through the hood. The duck discharges smell and gas sucked through the hood. The memory stores control data for the operating speed of the exhaust fan. The controller reads control data of the memory according to the concentration of gas and smell sensed from the sensor unit. The controller variably controls the operating speed of the exhaust fan.</p> |
