<p>A method is provided enabling an individual to temporarily control the display of an electronic document. A portion of the document is automatically updated and modified while displayed without the user being in control of the change. When a specific content information is displayed in the portion, the method allows the individual to request the display in the portion of another content information in lieu of the specific content information.
