A dual mode terminal and a method for processing data service thereof are provided to use hardware resources efficiently and increase the user convenience by implementing data services with dual controllers. A first controller(11) includes an application(12) and a first data protocol stack(16), and a second controller(21) includes a second data protocol stack(26). If a second data service is requested while a first data service is implemented in one of first and second controllers, a second data service is implemented in the rest one. The first and second data services are implemented in the first and second controller respectively at the same time. When the data service is implemented in the second controller, the first controller communicates with the second data protocol stack of the second controller through a socket layer and implements the data service.
