An apparatus and a method for generating an individual font are provided to emphasize individual personality by improving satisfaction of a user by deforming a note locus of the user. An individual font generating apparatus(100) comprises a character input unit(110), a character recognition unit(120), a representative locus generating unit(130), and a locus deforming unit(140). The character input unit receives a locus(10) of a character from a user. The character recognition unit recognizes a representative character, corresponding to the inputted character, from the locus of the inputted character. The representative locus generating unit produces a representative locus expressing the locus of the representative character. The locus deforming unit deforms the locus of the inputted character by combining the locus of the inputted character with a weighted value of the generated representative locus.
