OPTICAL ENGINE APPARATUS FOR REDUCING SPECKLE

An optical engine apparatus is provided to reduce speckles, which results from a fly eye lens consisting of a plurality of irregular-sized lenses. An optical engine apparatus is comprised of an optical source unit, a color combining unit and a fly eye lens. The optical source unit emits a plurality of colored lights through a plurality of laser light sources(102, 104, 106). The color combining unit consists of a plurality of dichroic mirrors(114, 116, 118) and gathers a plurality of lights to the optical axis. The fly eye lens shapes the gathered lights into a uniform light.
