METHOD OF PRODUCING COLOR FILTER, COLOR FILTER, IMAGE DISPLAY, AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing a color filter superior in color reproduction by preventing mixing colors, and to provide the color filter superior in color reproduction, an image display provided with the color filter, and an electronic device.

SOLUTION: The method of producing the color filter which performs production by discharging ink from a droplet discharge head of a droplet discharge device in cells on a substrate provided with the multiple cells includes a process for giving the ink into the cell while relatively moving the substrate to the droplet discharge head, and a process for forming a coloring part by curing the given ink. In a relative movement direction to the droplet discharge head of the substrate, a landing prohibition region prohibiting landing of ink is provided in prescribed width from the edge part of the cell. When width of a landing prohibition region is L1[μm], and an average diameter of droplets of ink is L2[μm], relationship of 0.5≤L1/L2≤4.5 is satisfied.
