<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake pedal device capable of reducing a step-in stroke of a brake pedal in an initial stage of brake operation and effectively reducing a force on pedal in a subsequent brake operation. <P>SOLUTION: The brake pedal device is constituted so that the first, third, and fourth connecting links 21, 23, 24 are turned to press a push rod 13 in such a state that a second connecting link 22 of a four link mechanism 20 at the initial stage of a brake operation, and the first to fourth connecting links are integrally turned around a first turning fulcrum 25 to press the push rod in a subsequent brake operation. Therefore, a pedal ratio at the initial stage of the brake operation and the pedal ratio in a subsequent brake operation can be optionally set by setting the distance from the turning fulcrum to the brake pedal and the distance from the turning fulcrum to the push rod to a predetermined value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
