摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle control method for making both compatible in the protection of a clutch and stall resistance of an engine, by preventing an engine stall and reduction in durability of the clutch, when shifting to a travel range from a neutral range. SOLUTION: A range is shifter to a D range from an N range, and when stepping an accelerator just after its shifting, a synchronous turbine rotating speed in the D range is estimated, and the synchronous turbine rotating speed is subtracted from an engine speed, and when its calculation value is a negative value and its absolute value exceeds a predetermined value, torque-down control is prohibited, and when the calculation is other than the above value, the torque-down control is performed.
