PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an input apparatus which easily judges whether a key operation by a user is simple erroneous pressing or not and facilitates information correction as a result. SOLUTION: In a double input mode, when different FAX numbers are depressed in first and second inputs, a positional relationship of ten keys 7b of different numbers is compared between the first depressed key and the second depressed key to judge whether the keys are brought into a relationship neighboring like vertically or horizontally. When it is judged that the positional relationship of the keys is not the vertical/horizontal relationship, error processing is performed. Furthermore, when the positional relationship of the keys is judged as a vertical/horizontal relationship, a position at which the input error has occurred and a call of re-inputting are displayed on a display 7a. When it is judged that the number has been re-input completely, the re-input FAX number is stored and based on the newly stored FAX number, transmitting operation is performed.
