PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing polypropylene-based resin expanded particles capable of achieving fusion among the polypropylene-based resin expanded particles at a lower temperature, and affording an in-mold expansion molded product having high mechanical strength. SOLUTION: The method for producing the polypropylene-based resin expanded particles includes a step of heat-treating polypropylene-based resin expanded particles. The resultant polypropylene-based resin pre-expanded particles have two endothermic peaks in DSC (differential scanning calorimetry) analysis. In the method for producing the polypropylene-based resin expanded particles, Qt which is a DSC ratio of polypropylene-based resin expanded particles and Qf that is a DSC ratio in the surface part of the polypropylene-based resin expanded particles satisfy the following two formulas: Qf<20% (1) and Qf/Qt<90% (2).
