The rotor has a rotor base body (1) provided with a bearing section (4) and a blade receiving section (5). An open blade receiving slot (6) of the section (5) is provided at a front side of the base body. A separate bearing body has an additional bearing section, which is fixedly connected with the base body at the front side of the base body, at which the slot is opened. The bearing body is welded at the base body by laser-beam welding, where the base body is designed as a sintered part and the bearing body is designed as a steel part. The bearing body exhibits the shape of a ring. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a rotor.
