The present invention relates to the means used for the ascent and/or descent of people and/or loads in dwellings, residential buildings, etc. More specifically, the invention relates to a securable staircase with sliding step operated by means of air, which can be fastened to a window or wall, depending on the user's needs, formed by a means for adjustable securing to the area where the staircase is to be set up; a pair of lateral supporting members with a groove into which are inserted the lateral projections of a sliding bar or step that, within, has a crane-like mechanism with the sliding bar or step thereof having freedom of movement, with a maximum run of the size of the lateral supporting members thereof. The invention comprises two hollow transverse bars, one arranged in the upper part of said lateral supporting members and the other hollow transverse bar located in the lower part thereof; a vertical guide shaft arranged in the central part between said hollow transverse bars in which are inserted a tube, a bag and a compressor, and on the outside thereof it has a spring, which components interact to form an ascent and/or descent mechanism operated by means of air; a bar or step control formed by casings with tensioned wires and hooks as safety devices for controlling said step and, in turn, same are used to immobilize and release said step, as required.
