<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a yaw rate arithmetic unit for vehicle that precisely computes a yaw rate generated in a vehicle without using a yaw rate sensor. <P>SOLUTION: Wheel speeds are detected by wheel speed sensors 2FL, 2FR, 2RL, and 2RR disposed for left front wheel 1FL, right front wheel 1FR, left rear wheel 1RL, and right rear wheel 1RR of the vehicle, and vehicle speed signals VFL, VFR, VRL, and VRR as outputs of the wheel speed sensors 2FL, 2Fr, 2RL, and 2RR are input to the yaw rate arithmetic unit 3, which computes a vehicle speed first and then computes a yaw rate based on the vehicle speed and a stability factor stored previously in a memory. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
