<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which is utilized even if a management server does not temporarily authenticate a user due to certain causes, and to prevent or suppress unauthorized use. <P>SOLUTION: If the management server 31 does not authenticate a user, the user is considered to be authenticated to enable utilization of the image forming apparatus 101. When the management server 31 becomes a state that it authenticates a user, post-authentication is rapidly executed, and if it results in authentication failure, the process returns to a log-in screen even during job execution. If the number of accumulated pages exceeds the limited number of pages due to post-authentication although the user is regular, an electronic mail indicative of the fact, the date/time of log-in trial and an apparatus ID included in the unauthenticated information to be authenticated and the contents of a job log is transmitted to a manager. When a non-regular user has already executed or is executing a job under condition of post-authentication, an electronic mail indicative of the fact, the date/time of log-in trial and an apparatus ID included in the unauthenticated information to be authenticated and the contents of a job log is transmitted to the manager. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
