<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymerizable liquid crystal compound which has a wider temperature range in which it shows a liquid crystal phase, is chemically stable, is inexpensively producible, and exhibits a wide selective reflection wavelength band Δλ, a polymerizable liquid crystal composition containing this compound, liquid crystal polymers obtained by polymerizing these, and an optically anisotropic substance containing the liquid crystal polymer as a constituent material. <P>SOLUTION: Provided are a polymerizable liquid crystal compound represented by formula (I); a polymerizable liquid crystal composition containing the polymerizable liquid crystal compound and a polymerizable chiral compound polymerizable therewith; a liquid crystal polymer obtained by polymerizing the polymerizable liquid crystal compound or the polymerizable liquid crystal composition; and an optically anisotropic substance containing the liquid crystal polymer as a constituent material.
