PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a building having an outside corridor in which the width of the outside corridor is large, the aesthetic appearance of the outside corridor is well maintained, and a step is formed between an indoor floor and the floor of the outside corridor. SOLUTION: A first floor outer wall 26 is formed of a first floor wall panel 42 and a heat insulation layer 44 formed on the outside of the first floor wall panel. A ventilation/furring strip stud 60 filled with a heat insulator is vertically installed in the heat insulation layer 44. The girder 82 of an outdoor corridor floor panel 80 forming the second floor outside corridor floor 36 of a second floor outside corridor 24 is placed and engaged with the upper end 60B of the stud. Consequently, the step 40 can be formed between the second floor outside corridor 36 and a second floor living room floor 38, and the width of the corridor is increased and the aesthetic appearance is improved as compared with a corridor in which walls and columns are installed in the portion where a heat insulation layer is disposed.
