PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle air conditioner capable of reducing occurrence of noise when blocking means to be arranged in a rear seat duct is closed. SOLUTION: The vehicle air conditioner includes: a main air blower (12) for sending conditioned air into a cabin; a rear seat duct (32) for introducing conditioned air to a rear seat outlet (36) for a rear seat in the cabin; an auxiliary air blower (33) provided on the rear seat duct (32) to increase the volume of conditioned air to be blown to the rear seat; blocking means (34) arranged to be openable and closable at a downstream side of the auxiliary air blower (33) for the rear seat duct (32) to block conditioned air from blowing out from the rear seat outlet (36); opening and closing detection means (37a, 37b) for detecting an opening or closing state of the blocking means (34); and control means (100) for controlling to decrease the rotation speed of the auxiliary air blower (33) when the opening and closing detection means (37a, 37b) determine that the blocking means (34) is in a closed state.
