PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic control device provided with two or more microcomputers and capable of effectively reducing power consumption. SOLUTION: In an ECU 1 provided with a main microcomputer 21 and a sub microcomputer 22, when the main microcomputer 21 detects that a boot condition is met in a standby mode in which a power consumption is low, the main microcomputer 21 outputs a power supply control signal C1 to a power supply circuit 23 from which an output power of a power-supply voltage V3 to the microcomputer 21 is increased, and shifts to a normal operation mode. Then, the main microcomputer 21 determines whether the sub microcomputer 22 is to be operated based on an input signal from the outside or the like. When the sub microcomputer 22 is operated, the main microcomputer 21 outputs a power supply control signal C2 to the power supply circuit 23 from which supplying a power-supply voltage V4 to the sub microcomputer 22, and thereby activating the sub microcomputer 22. Thus, the main microcomputer 21 controls the power supplies to itself and the sub microcomputer 22, which enables microcomputer(s) necessary to be activated depending on the situations and the power consumption to be effectively reduced.
