The sensor has a sensor mat (10) including a distance layer (13) arranged between upper and the lower layers (11, 12). The upper and the lower layers are connected with the distance layer by a coupling agent. The upper and lower layers are connected on surfaces (14, 15) with connection structures (16-19) and sensor contacts facing the distance layer. A recess (23) is provided in an area of the connection structures in sections in the distance layer such that the connection structures does not contact with the coupling agent in an area of the recess.
