<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical head device capable of more facilitating a manufacturing work than heretofore without deteriorating heat dissipation performance and handling easiness with respect to a flame laser than heretofore. <P>SOLUTION: The frame laser 60 of the optical head device includes a housing part 62 for housing a light emitting chip 61. The housing part 62 has an opening 62a formed in an arrow direction 60b orthogonal to an extending arrow direction 60a of the optical axis 61a of a laser beam emitted from the light emitting chip 61. A fixed holder 70 includes a protective wall 73 disposed in a position facing the opening 62a to protect the light emitting chip 61, and an abutment wall 74 disposed in a side opposite the protective wall 73 with respect to the frame laser 60 to abut on a pressing member 80.
