<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light guide plate capable of achieving, responding to a point light source, a high luminance, thinning, a light weight and a large size without unevenness in luminance, to provide a light guide plate link body, to provide a backlight unit using the same, and to provide a display. <P>SOLUTION: The light guide plate 7 has a light emitting face 11 of regular polygon shape, a thick portion formed in the center and the vicinity of the light-emitting face 11, a housing portion 9 which is formed in the thick portion of the rear face opposed to the light-emitting face 11 and houses a light source 1, a thin portion which is located at the end part of the light-emitting face 11, and an inclined portion 13 which is inclined so that it becomes gradually thinner from the thick portion to the thin end portion in the rear face.
