<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate sales activity support information which is useful to an articles seller by analyzing sales result information on the basis of an area cluster where articles purchasers reside. <P>SOLUTION: A sales information analysis device 1 holds correspondence relation between area clusters being groups of areas having similar properties associated with residents, and the respective areas. The sales information analysis device 1 accesses a sales result information holding unit 302 to acquire the date and time when a sales promotion step is taken, and accesses an articles sales information holding unit 304 to acquire the quantities of sold articles in the respective areas before and after the sales promotion step is taken. The sales information analysis device 1 totals the quantities of sold articles in the respective areas by the area clusters, compares total values of the quantities of sold articles before and after the sales promotion step is taken by area clusters, and calculates increase rates in the quantities of sold articles by the sales promotion step by area clusters. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
