<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device setting system and a device setting program that can automatically appropriately set a device driver without a user being aware of it. <P>SOLUTION: The device setting system has a host 10 in which the device driver 10C with an automatic setting module 10D is installed, and a device 20 connected to the host 10 and provided with a communication function of sending device setting information to the automatic setting module 10D in response to a request from the automatic setting module 10D. Every time the device driver 10C installed in the host 10 is started, the device driver starts the automatic setting module 10D with the designation of a device to be connected, to acquire the device setting information from the connected device via the automatic setting module 10D, and reflects device settings given by the acquired device setting information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
