<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent picture quality from decreasing owing to potential variation of a precedent stage when an auxiliary capacitor Csub is connected to a power supply scan line DSL(-1) of the precedent stage. <P>SOLUTION: A pixel circuit 3(i, j) includes a light emitting element (OLED: capacitor Coled.), a drive transistor Md, a sampling transistor Ms, a holding capacitor Cs, and an auxiliary capacitor Csub. A drive circuit (a write signal scan circuit 42, and a detecting circuit and a switching circuit) is configured to switch a first OFF potential Vws_L1 of a write scan line WSL(0) to a second OFF potential Vws_L2 with which the sampling transistor Ms enters an OFF state deeper than when the first OFF potential Vws_L1 is applied only in an ON inhibition period (a period wherein ND2 is at "H") including a fixed period after the when pixel circuits 3(0, j) as objects of display control are permitted to emit light and other pixel circuits 3(-1, j) to which a power supply scan line DSL(-1) is connected and which are permitted to emit light, are switched to be turned off. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
