PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve consistency between registration information and an image file, and not to suggest image reproduction in which no entity exists. SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus has a recording medium 6 which stores a DB (database) 6a for memorizing the registration information such as file path information, and the image file 6b, and can be detached from or attached to it. After it transfers to a reproduction operation, if it detects insertion of the recording medium 6, a control unit 1 discriminates the consistency between the registration information of the DB 6a and the image file 6b of the recording medium 6, if inconsistency occurs, it ensures the consistency between the both by a restoration processing execution function 2c or a registration processing execution function 2d.
