PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a member for business machines produced by using a cellulose ester resin which is a biomass raw material, and having excellent heat resistance, and mechanical characteristics. SOLUTION: The member for the business machines is produced by a step of carrying out melt molding using pellets of a cellulose ester resin composition comprising at least the one cellulose ester resin of cellulose acetate propionate, or cellulose acetate butyrate, and having 150,000-250,000 weight-average molecular weight of the cellulose ester resin in the pellets with heat.
