PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planting device formed on a groundwork of a rooftop or the like, intended for rapid taking of roots of plants to be planted, especially, for instance, in transplantation of lawn, and capable of dealing with appropriate growth of lawn and blowing of wind on a high place. SOLUTION: This planting device has a soil layer which is laminated on a groundwork of a rooftop or a roof of a building, a plant root taking means which is set in the soil layer or on a soil layer surface, and a fixing means for the plant root taking means.
