PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interphone system wherein a photographed image can be displayed with suitable brightness, regardless of its being daytime or nighttime, without performing correction work in daytime and in nighttime, respectively. SOLUTION: In the interphone system, an interphone master unit 1 comprises: a video processing section 15 for detecting lightness of an image imaged by a camera section 23 and correcting the brightness of the image so that the detected light becomes a predetermined target value; a daytime/nighttime discriminating section 17 for discriminating the daytime and the nighttime; a manual correction section 19, comprising an input accepting means for accepting input operation from a resident and a varying means for varying the target value in accordance with the input operation in the input accepting means; and storage sections 18a, 18b for storing a target value for the daytime and a target value for the nighttime, respectively, wherein the video processing section 15 performs correction, by using the target value read from either the storage sections 18a or 18b, according to the discrimination result of the daytime/nighttime discriminating section 17.
