PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector capable of correcting a projection image appropriately even if the projector is moved during projection by some reasons. SOLUTION: The projector has: a control circuit 101 for calculating a correction coefficient for correcting a projection image and correcting the projection image by the calculated correction coefficient by the use of a photographed image obtained by photographing a projection surface on which a prescribed projection image is projected by an imaging unit 120; a projection unit 110 for projecting the corrected projection image; and an acceleration sensor 106 for detecting the deviation of the projection surface. When the acceleration sensor 106 detects the deviation of the projection surface, the control circuit 101 calculates the correction coefficient again, corrects the projection image by the prescribed correction coefficient until the correction coefficient is calculated again, and corrects the projection image by the calculated correction coefficient again after the correction coefficient is calculated.
