PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adhesive tape sticking device and method such that an adhesive tape can be stuck on one side edge of an adhesive-tape sticking part of a substrate with good position precision. SOLUTION: The adhesive tape sticking device includes a tape supply unit 7 which supplies the adhesive tape 5, a pressure-sticking head 11 which presses the adhesive tape 5 disposed on the sticking part provided at the side edge of the substrate 2 to stick an adhesive layer on the sticking part, a tape recovery unit 9 which recovers a support tape 5A after the stuck adhesive material layer is peeled, and tape travel guide means 23a and 23b arranged at both side positions of the pressure-sticking head 11 and guiding the adhesive tape 5 supplied from the tape supply unit 7 to dispose it above the sticking part, the tape travel guide means 23a and 23b being provided with a position correcting means 30 consisting of a first correction roller 31 and a second correction roller 32 that correct at least one width-directional side edge of the adhesive tape 5 and/or support tape 5A to a position at a necessary interval from a prescribed position on one width-directional side of the sticking part.
