PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety door automatic opening/closing mechanism which can freely (arbitrarily) set and control an opening/closing speed or an open position in order to reduce a waiting time for an opening/closing of the safety door, and eliminates a touch switch. SOLUTION: The safety door automatic opening/closing mechanism comprises an electric motor capable of feedback control and a rotation/linear motion converting mechanism, and can arbitrarily set and control the opening/closing speed or the open position. In the molding process, the open position of the safety door suitable for taking out a molded article is set and an opening/closing operation is controlled. Further, a closing operation is stopped immediately when it is detected with a torque load of the electric motor that the safety door contacts an operator or an obstacle during the closing operation.
