<p>It is intended to provide a novel hydrotalcite composite particle having a superior effect of protecting the stomach lining while maintaining an antacid effect similar to that of a conventional antacid, a hydrotalcite particle. According to the invention, a hydrotalcite composite particle represented by the following formula (1) and an antacid containing the particle as an active ingredient are provided. (MgaZnb)1-xAlx(OH)2(An-)x/n·mH2O (1) In the formula, An- represents CO3 2-, SO4 2- or Cl-, n represents 1 or 2, x, a, b and m represent values that satisfy the following requirements, respectively. 0.18= x = 0.40, 0.5 = a < 1, 0 < b = 0.5, 0 = m < 1 The hydrotalcite composite particle of the invention suppresses the occurrence of damage to the lining mucosa of the stomach or intestine when it is used as an antacid.</p> |
