PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new carbon black production apparatus capable of avoiding the damage of a reaction furnace wall. SOLUTION: The carbon black production apparatus is composed of a combustible fluid introducing chamber, an oxygen-containing gas introducing pipe, an oxygen-containing gas introducing cylinder, a plurality of radial flow-regulating plates formed on the outer circumference of the oxygen-containing gas introducing cylinder, a fuel spraying device inserted into a fuel oil introducing pipe, a combustion gas converging chamber, a stock oil introducing chamber 10 placed downstream of the combustion gas converging chamber and having a plurality of stock oil spraying devices, a reaction chamber having a diameter larger than that of the downstream end of the stock oil introducing chamber, a reaction continuing and quenching chamber provided with a plurality of quenching water injecting spray devices, and a cylinder connected to the rear end of the reaction continuing and quenching chamber. The cross-section of the stock oil introducing part of the stock oil introducing chamber perpendicular to the length has non-circular and non-polygonal shape, and the production apparatus is further provided with a reaction chamber having an upstream end 11-1 having a gradually increasing cross-section of the space and placed downstream side from the downstream end of the stock oil introducing chamber.
