PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a molecular composite based on an interpenetrating network texture of a polymer and carbon fibrils. SOLUTION: The interpenetrating network texture of the polymer and the carbon fibrils is composed of (a) a hardened three-dimentional macroscopic assemblage of a multiplicity of the randomly oriented carbon fibrils and (b) an interpenetrating mass of the polymer.
