PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a lens barrel having a shake correction device which hardly receives adverse effect (controllability and production of sound) due to the occurrence of friction or slip or the like, and can perform stable shake correction control. SOLUTION: The lens barrel has: a shake detection means for detecting vibration caused in the lens barrel; a shake correction means for holding an image blur correction lens for correcting image blur by moving to have a component in an orthogonal direction to the optical axis of the lens barrel based on a signal from the shake detection means; a bottom board for holding the shake correction means movably; three rolling balls for regulating the position of the shake correction means in an optical axis direction and arranged uniformly or nearly uniformly around the optical axis; and a tension spring arranged between the bottom board and the shake correction means so that the rolling balls may roll, the tension spring holding both of them in an energized state. The tension spring is constituted to be displaced centering one of two holding parts of the shake correction means and the bottom board in such a state that it is locked by the two holding parts.
