PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use a combustion device and a combustion method capable of improving combustion efficiency by generating micro explosions which is the characteristics of combustion of emulsion fuel without emulsifying the fuel in advance and obtaining a high combustion temperature for various uses with a simple structure. SOLUTION: The combustion device is equipped with a combustion chamber 2 having a circulation pipe 1 disposed therein, a burner 4 for injecting fuel 3 from an injection port 3 and performing combustion, a fuel supply means for supplying the fuel 3 to the burner 4, an injection nozzle connected to the circulation pipe 1 and provided to the burner 4, a combustion air supply means for circulating the combustion air in the circulation pipe 1 and supplying it to the injection nozzle, and a steam supply means for circulating steam in the circulation pipe 1 and supplying it to the injection nozzle. By injecting combustion air or the steam, or both from the injection nozzle with great force, the fuel 3 is dispersed and efficient burning can be performed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
