PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable to make an inside space at a vacuum side the same degree of vacuum as an outside space surely in a short time, and prevent degradation of insulation and unexpected discharge caused by the same. SOLUTION: The electric connector for vacuum 1, provided with an outer cylinder 11 fitted in penetration to a vacuum barrier rib 3, a signal transmission terminal 15 arranged in extension into the inside of the outer cylinder 11, and an electric insulator 14 buried inside the outer cylinder 11 to electrically insulate the signal transmission terminal 15 from the outer cylinder 11 to retain it, and to inhibit air distribution through the outer cylinder 11, for transmitting high-voltage electric signals by being connected with a counterpart connector 2 as a vacuum-side open end part of the outer cylinder 11 gets insertion-coupled with an insertion-coupling cylinder 21 of the counterpart connector 2, is further provided with a through-hole 13 penetrating the outer cylinder 11 to communicate an inside space S11 and an outside space S12 of the outer cylinder 11, at a vacuum-side site in the outer cylinder 11 but avoiding an insertion-coupling area with the insertion-coupling cylinder 21.
