The coolant pump (1) has pump housing and a control valve (2) for controlling a coolant flow through a cooling circuit. An actuating unit (3) is provided for actuating the control valve which is integrated in the pump housing. The capacity of the coolant pump is changed with the help of the actuating unit. Two actuating procedures of the actuating unit operate the change of the capacity rate of the coolant pump, so that the valve position of the control valve changes.
