Conventionally, when a portable terminal records a television broadcast, the storage region of the portable terminal is inefficiently used. A portable terminal comprises a recording control means for controlling recording/replaying a television broadcast, a setting storage means for storing a preset condition, and a recording means for recording the contents of a television broadcast according to the control by the recording control means. The recording control means controls the recording means to start recording a television broadcast when triggered by a change of the mode of the portable terminal which is receiving the television broadcast to a predetermined mode and to end the recording of the television broadcast when the preset condition stored in the setting storage means is met.
