<p>A backlight device (12) comprises a plurality of cold cathode tubes (17), a chassis (14) for containing the cold cathode tubes (17), a planar diffuser (15a) arranged so as to sandwich the cold cathode tubes (17) with the chassis (14), a main body portion (27) fixed to the chassis (14), and a plurality of lamp clips (18) having a plurality of lamp grip portions (28) provided to the main body portion (27) in order to grip the cold cathode tubes (17) and a support pin (29) arranged at an eccentric position in the main body portion (27) in order to support the diffuser (15a). In the backlight device (12), each lamp clip (18) is arranged such that each support pin (29) is deviated to the side of a reference line (L1) set along the plane direction of the diffuser (15a).</p> |
