PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for displaying a contents list capable of displaying a certain variety of contents lists based on the information for a content currently reproduced by a user's simple operation only.

SOLUTION: The method for displaying a contents list comprises a step for receiving a user's instruction, and a step for displaying a list of contents belonging to a category set based on the information for a content currently reproduced according to a type of a user's instruction received.
